Store Manager
We are looking for a Store Manager to lead our team in the store. The Store Manager will be responsible for all aspects of sales and operations in their assigned store. They will ensure that our customers have a positive shopping experience by building relationships with customers, meeting their needs, and exceeding them. They will also be responsible for managing the store’s inventory, keeping the store clean, and upholding company policy. The ideal candidate will have a passion for retail and a desire to make a difference in the lives of others through their work. Ultimately, the Store Manager will ensure that every customer leaves the store with the memory of an excellent experience.
Responsibilities
• Ensure all sales staff and customer interactions meet or exceed company expectations
• Ensure store operations meet or exceed company standards
• Ensure all inventory is accurately counted, organized and maintained by employees
• Ensure all products are accurately priced and appropriately stocked
• Ensure the store operates efficiently and effectively in accordance with policies and procedures
• Manage cash handling procedures including deposits, withdrawals, checks out, cash reconciliation and daily reconciliations
• Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of product features and benefits so that you can provide customers with information about new products as needed
• Assist in developing and implementing new product training materials so that staff knows product details, pricing and where to buy it
• Ensure all employees comply with all company policies and procedures including health and safety standards
• Identify areas for improvement in processes or employees and take action to improve performance
• Be aware of customer interest in product to suggest changes to inventory as needed and to identify areas for improvement or change to ensure Mowgli Surf Shop operates at peak efficiency.
Requirements:
• Technical knowledge of surfing; board types, fins, etc.
• Retail store management experience: 3+ years
• Understanding of fashion retail and garments; knits, wovens, construction, quality
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Independent personality
