The Position:
The Sales Account Executive for Jerry Leigh’s Body Glove Division is a goal-driven, highly motivated and true entrepreneur-minded professional with the ability to work independently within the Juniors and Women’s specialty chains/department store tiers, and fashion websites. They will leverage all available resources to drive growth in a brand enhancing way. The position will require tactical new business expansion in addition to managing an existing account base. Experience with Women and Juniors Fashion apparel and collections is required and the candidate must have strong retail relationships in specialty and department store tiers in Women and Juniors and upper management.
Key Responsibilities:
• Contribute to an increase in profitability, drive revenue, and manage inventory.
• Manage existing key accounts and identify new potential customers.
• Negotiate discounts and pricing across a variety of product categories.
• Suggest innovative ideas to increase sales and move inventory.
• Strategize how to move inventory most profitably at a high margin.
• In-season management of business and monthly forecasting of revenue/inventory levels.
• Collaborate with creative teams to develop appropriate presentation material and products to align with Junior and Women’s fashion business initiatives for all major markets.
• Develop/enhance relationships with key retail partners by being in front of customers regularly, bring them information from the market place, acquire information (listen) to build trust and guide planning, and focus on partner business metrics in addition to sell-in objectives.
• Develop strategic alliances with new buyers/departments to expand business opportunities through new categories and classifications (i.e., sleepwear, athletic, sport, etc.)
• Drive creative solution planning with management, merchandising and marketing, to support and differentiate key partners and new distribution opportunities.
• Analyze the retail landscape to identify new market share, customer and other opportunities that will provide quality brand growth.
• Provide feedback to art and design teams.
• Stay abreast with all store product, selling and retail information from competitors.
Key Performance Areas:
• Strategic - Prioritizes the topline by developing and implementing brand building sales objectives.
• Work with product team on special development by account.
• Consumer Understanding – able to think consumer-first and drive relevant strategies that build business with the consumer of choice. Provide key price direction.
• Organized and Analytical – synthesize diverse information, use intuition and experience to complement data.
• Problem Solving – identifies and resolves problems coinciding with the speed of business, and uses experience to develop alternative solutions.
• Team Player – works well with others and focuses on solution-oriented communication.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in Women and Junior’s apparel sales.
• Strong knowledge and experience with Microsoft suite: Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Consumer segmentation and targeting.
• Ability to Travel domestically.
• Ability to lift and carry samples, sample bags, and able to push rolling racks.
• Forecasting, sell-in planning, sell-thru analysis and budgeting.
• Client partnership building.
• Strong written and verbal skills: creative presentations and capable of presenting ideas and viewpoints in a compelling, respectful way.
• Open, direct, and a collaborative style within a team-oriented environment.
• Ability to safely drive, provide valid driver’s license, and provide a clean driving record.
