ABOUT YOU:
As an Account Manager, you will collaborate closely with Santa Cruz Bicycles retailers and our Outside Sales Team to coordinate bikes sales and fulfillment in your territory. You will work in a fast-paced team-oriented environment with dedicated and passionate riders who foster creating long-lasting relationships with their colleagues and their clients alike. This role requires effective communication as well as the ability to develop sales tactics and work at a high level while executing and prioritizing requests quickly and successfully.
We are looking for someone who has experience in the outdoor industry (bike industry preferred) and understands how to successfully partner with people from all walks of life. We need a solid communicator who responds quickly and clearly. You will need to know how to work on multiple projects at a time and have experience with reaching goals and other performance metrics.
WHAT DOES YOUR DAY JOB LOOK LIKE:
- Collaborate with bike retailers within your territory to order bikes, confirm shipping dates, track shipments and provide constant updates on all logistics
- Communicate daily with Outside Sales reps in your territory to connect on targets, allocations, and supply them with any needed materials to assist them
- Identify sales opportunities with your outside team and your manager, and pursue in accordance with the set seasonal priority
- Plan a successful strategy to reach your sales and service targets while sustainably growing sales in your territory
- Maintain a high level of customer service to everyone you partner with to reach your targets
- Provide guidance and insight on territory sales trends, challenges, and opportunities
- Visit sales territory to identify opportunities and solidify relationships
- Work closely with the Inside Sales & Key Accounts Manager to analyze territory sales and allocation reports
- Execute projects based on the territory calendar including dealer visits, key sales dates and program milestones
- Work closely with the Accounts Receivable team to balance credit and clear holds to ensure shipments are flowing as needed
- Maintain accurate information in our CRM software for your accounts
- Act professionally at all times, you will be representing Santa Cruz Bicycles
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:
- 5-10 years of experience in sales, preferably in the bicycle or outdoor industry
- Proven success managing and prioritizing multiple client accounts
- Superior ability to prioritize and manage your time
- Ability to communicate professionally, clearly and concisely with co-workers and clients
- Strong computer skills, experience with ERP software, Gmail, Microsoft Office and CRM software
- Extensive knowledge of bicycles and all associated parts
- High level of urgency and ability to start and complete projects within the stated parameters
- Ability to collaborate and work professionally with co-workers and clients
- Ability to develop professional and long-lasting relationships with clients
- Driven to identify meaningful solutions which fulfill the needs for SCB, sales territory, sales reps, retailers, and end consumers
- Must have a current Driver’s License and a clean driving record
- Comfortable with travel
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend and explain documents in English. Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, in English.

HOURLY RANGE: This compensation package will be dependent on experience, qualifications, industry experience and the interview with a potential hourly range between $30-$35/hr. plus commission with the potential to earn between $85K-$96K annually based on the achievement of sales goals.
