Helly Hansen, a leading manufacturer of high-performance outdoor apparel, accessories and footwear, is seeking an experienced Key Account Manager to join the Helly Hansen sales team. Although we prefer that this position be located in our Seattle-area office, remote work arrangements will be considered.
The Key Account Manager will provide brand leadership and sales management to designated key accounts, growing the apparel, footwear and accessory business in alignment with established goals and objectives.
The position will report to the Director of Sales and VP of Sales, and specific responsibilities will include:
- Sales management: optimize sales through effective planning, forecasting, and coordination identify and develop strategies and action plans around growth opportunities conduct ongoing analysis of the accounts’ sales, bookings, and marketing executions
- Customer management: establish and maintain relationships within each key account
- Business planning: prepare and execute written business plans, merchandise plans, segmentation plans, monthly reports, and 90-day plans
- Sales process: Lead and direct all key account presentations
- Internal communication: attend all internal business, product, marketing and sales meetings as required communicate key account sales plans as they impact the local independent market
The successful candidate will have:
- At least 5 years of industry-related sales experience, including 3-5 years of sales management experience at the key account level
- Extensive apparel/textiles and footwear knowledge solid knowledge of the marketplace with regard to channel distribution
- Excellent problem solving, organizational, and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to organize and lead people teamwork orientation
- The ability to travel extensively (up to 50%, including international travel)
