WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Were looking for a Senior Accountant to join the finance controlling team and perform various tasks within the controlling team with foundational accounting technical knowledge and exercise sensible business judgment. The candidate should possess strong communication with business team and provide accounting considerations based on the business initiatives and independently utilizes knowledge, skills, and abilities to identify areas of opportunity, resolve complex problems & navigate solutions.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
You will be in charge of accounting operation including intercompany accounting (royalty payment, preparing journal entries, managing account receivables/payables aging), inventory and cost of goods sold management (price variance analysis, inventory reconciliation), fixed asset management.
You will also support the shared delivery team to solve the issues including Source to Pay/Order to Cash/ treasury process if any. You are also expected to support preparing statutory/tax filing (including Value added tax, Corporate income tax and withholding tax) and support internal and external audit related tasks.
You are responsible for preparing variance reports on a monthly/quarterly basis including sales validation, expense validation, Profit & Loss fluctuation report, complimentary product report in a timely manner and accurately. You will also prepare cash forecast report on a monthly basis and support project if any and PEGA (Source to Pay e-worflow system) maintenance (changes, adds, deletions) and upgrade.
You will also support global package insurance process annually.
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
You will directly report to Accounting & Tax manager of Converse Korea.
Finance controlling team engages with a diverse group of cross-functional teams in geography (Great China) as well as territory. You will be working closely with Global Controlling partners, i.e. Source To Pay, Legal, Tax, Treasury and service provider. In addition, you are required to have close partnership from non-finance stakeholders such as Legal, Sales and Marketing, Human Resource and Technology teams.
WHAT YOU BRING
Bachelors (or higher) degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
At least 7 years Finance/Accounting work experience including financial reporting, Tax, Audit preferably in global retail/consumer products companies.
Good Computer Skill (MS Office, SAP, BI)
Strong English verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure
Ability to operate with a high degree of independence
Prior experience working with shared delivery team, 3rd pary vendors is a plus
