WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
As Demand and Supply Management (DSM), we serve the Nike planning function combining insights and analytics to sense and craft how much product consumers will want, where and when theyll want it. This offense combines work in the Merchandise Financial Planning (MFP) and Assortment Planning sub functions to support a more detailed and flexible approach to serve consumers and drive inventory efficiency for NIKE and our partners.
In this role you will develop and communicate the franchise and classification assortment plans for the EMEA market. You'll need to have a passion for the brand and consumer as well as a strong understanding of the marketplace and demand planning processes.
The role requires a highly collaborative team player with strong communication skills and an ability to effectively engage with a broad range of audiences including senior business leaders.Someone who is eager to own and drive the end-to-end process in a fast-paced environment. Strong demand and assortment planning acumen as well as leadership and influencing skills are essential.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
Consumer Planning: Develop franchise/classification assortment plans (and style/color level).
Integrated Planning: Play a key role in the assortment conversations with the Marketplace planners to drive the right consumer demand plans for the marketplace.
Analytics and Insights: Demonstrate strong problem solving and thinking skills by developing accurate plans that optimize trade-offs and outcomes. Brings to bear statistical forecasting, data science, and new ways of thinking to develop plans and drive better decisions.
Consumer Focus: Understand consumer needs and marketplace from available data and able to link plan with market trends. Awareness of product portfolio and strategy, including expectations around consumer response, growth opportunities and product lifecycle.
Influencing: Design compelling communications that articulate the story and insights with a clear summary of the main ideas.
Risk and Opportunities Management: Escalate risks or opportunities that are grounded in facts and presents options for resolution. Assess risk within business objectives. Collaborate with key cross functional stakeholders on pre-season and in-season risks & opportunities.
Strategic Mindset: Develop long term plans or builds roadmaps in aggressive yet realistic milestones that support Nike and DSM priorities.
Innovation: Play an active and leading role in the transformation to integrated planning and adoption of consumer planning capabilities.
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
You will work with a team of cross-functional experts (Merchandising and Brand) within the Consumer team as well as the cross-gender Consumer Planning team.
You will be a key member of the EMEA Integrated Assortment Planning squad which drives the plans across the various EMEA Marketplace Units (MPUs) and connect with other cross-functional stakeholders.
WHAT YOU BRING
Extensive experience in Retail Merchandising/Assortment Planning/Demand Planning is desired.
Experience in assortment planning with the ability to apply that knowledge independently in your work alongside a basic understanding of financial, product, and supply planning.
The ability to collaborate efficiently with upstream & downstream functions. Youre aware of emerging trends in planning.
Efficient collaboration with upstream/downstream functions and awareness of emerging planning trends.
Strong skills in consumer demand forecasting, margin optimization, and an understanding of marketplace inventory planning.
Understanding of retail KPIs, detailed assortment planning, and Omnichannel Retail strategy.
Excellent communication skills for engaging with various audiences across levels of seniority.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Strategic outlook, project leadership experience, and proficiency in fast-paced environments.
