Anderson Brothers is a full-service design agency and production house started by John and Mike Anderson, based in Seal Beach, California.
We are looking to add a Senior Graphic Designer to our team.
The Senior Graphic Designer at Anderson Brothers Design & Supply is responsible for creating artwork for a broad assortment of apparel, accessories for a defined number of brands. They will also be responsible for managing various creative projects and junior members of the Graphics Team.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead team in designing compelling artwork for an assortment of creative projects
• Manage and mentor multiple levels of the Graphic Design team
• Responsible for managing the creative direction for a select number of projects
• Work from production schedules to manage and lead multiple projects, prioritizing daily workloads, and ensuring established deadlines are met
• Implement training tools, process, and onboarding programs
• Complete projects independently based on creative direction
• Knowledgeable of performance and department initiatives related to product development
• Participate in trend research and development that supports brand and customer
• Develop strong partnerships with cross-functional teams
• Actively identify areas of improvement in processes and proactively find solutions
• Other duties as assigned by Manager
JOB REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
• Must have worked in the Apparel industry for a fashion brand or screenprinter - 5+ years
• 5+ years experience as a tee shirt graphic artist preferred. Experience in a design and production environment a plus.
• BA or equivalent course work in graphic design preferred
• Contribute to the Anderson Brothers Design & Supply culture of empowerment, competition, teaching, learning, recognition, fairness, honesty, and fun
• 2-3 years managing Graphic Designers
• Able to give, receive, and apply constructive criticism
• Ability to present design ideas professionally
• Strong project management and organizational skills
• Excellent hand-drawn and/or computer illustration skills
• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, and Photoshop. Experience with Procreate is a plus
• 5-6 years of experience working with an Apple workstation
• 2-3 years of experience with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
• 3-4 years of experience leading and managing projects while maintaining deadlines
• Experience with branding and the ability to adhere to established brand guidelines
• Remain detail-oriented while working in a fast-paced environment
• A balanced mix of creative and technical know-how
• Current with the fashion industry, trends
