Senior Manager, Materials, Apparel (Global TNF)
What you will do
As a Senior Manager of Materials you will lead a team of forward-thinking researchers, developers and technical experts to establish strategies, direction and deliver tangible solutions for products. As a leader, you set the standard for material vision and development and drive material futures cross-functionally for teams across the globe. You are a leader with a passion for delivering industry-shaping solutions and will provide expert level guidance and knowledge team on material development. While fostering a collaborative and collegial environment across the organization you will coach your team their roles and work across the materials department on product and project alignment. You will work in close partnership with design, product management, product integrity, innovation, mills and overseas partners.
How You Will Make a Difference:
Oversee the research and development of new materials.
Perform market analysis to determine key material trends within competitive set regarding technology, performance, and aesthetics.
Collaborate with other Material Managers and Directors to identify opportunities for innovation, process improvement, and strategy for growth.
Own and manage key vendor relationships based on the primary fabrications.
Promote and enforce material research and design integrity coupled with performance specifications from conception through development and into market.
Monitor and analyze supplier matrix and material utilization with performance metrics, business summaries and certifications.
Plan and prioritize seasonal developments within your team while monitoring progress and taking appropriate course of action as needed to complete by established timelines.
Develop department guidelines and standards to ensure operational excellence and consistency across teams. Proposes new ways to maximize efficiencies.
Proactively begin and lead special projects, process or calendar optimizations.
Mentor and Coach Associate and Mid technical developer and manage all Workday function.
Seasonal travel overseas to manufacturers may be required.
What You Will Bring:
Degree in Apparel, Textiles, Materials Manufacturing, Apparel Design or related field
8+ years of progressive experience
2+ years of management experience or oversight and mentorship of others
Fluent in English, any other language is a plus
Working knowledge of PM or other material and product management tools
Strong product acumen with working knowledge of apparel product development processes/tools/systems, including development, sourcing and manufacturing
Excellent collaboration skills and an ability to manage multiple timelines and deadlines
Proactive approach to identifying the root cause of issues, seeking the best solutions with a values driven commitment to do what is right
High degree of agility and adaptability
Ability to travel overseas less than 10% of time
An ability to work under pressure and to navigate change with open mindedness and flexibility
Growth mindset and enthusiasm for learning new tools and problem-solving

Pay Range:
$118,368.00 USD - $177,552.00 USD annually
Incentive Potential:
This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential. Specific details of the additional compensation eligibility for this position will be provided during the recruiting and interview process.
