WHO WE ARE LOOKING FORWere looking for an outstanding Senior Product Designerto combine their high-end taste level, footwear design experience, creative problem-solving abilities, and outstanding relationship management skills to help build the future of Jordan Kid's Footwear. The ideal candidate needs to be a highly creative problem solver, with an eye for trends, who doesnt settle for anything less than the best design solutions, to meet the needs of the consumer.
As the Senior Product Designer for Global Jordan Kids Footwear, you'll be focused on elevating the Kids Consumer experience through innovative footwear designs under the direction of our Design Director. You'll collaborate with Design and Category management teams to create innovative product designs that appeal to targeted consumers and advance Jordan's design image and product performance. You'll also proactively follow the execution of all product details, including construction, color, form, style, detail, fit, performance and cost/value requirements; and actively seek expert input to develop appropriate designs with regard to cost/value, fit and performance, manufacturability, sustainability, merchandising and aesthetic finish.
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
As a Senior Product Designer for Global Jordan Kids Footwear, you will be working hand in hand with a large project team of different experts (engineers, researchers, scientists, marketing, sustainability, materials, costing, etc), collaborate within the design community (industrial designers, materials, color, graphics, computational, etc.). You will work under the direction of our Design Director and Senior Design Director to champion seasonal projects.
WHAT YOU BRING
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design or a related field
5-7 years' experience designing and developing innovative footwear products
Knowledge of color, textures, human factors and form related to designing excellent products
Passion for sports and culture
PhotoShop and Illustrator skills and experience with 3D design programs are a plus
Knowledge of manufacturing processes, plastics and other engineering materials are ideal
Cobbling and prototyping skills are a plus
Strong sketching, illustration and rendering skills
