Momentum Media PR is seeking a Senior Public Relations Account Manager. This person can be based in either our Boulder, CO office or our Boston, MA office.

Momentum Media PR is a results-driven PR agency specializing in bringing lifestyle brands to the forefront of their markets and the consumer mindshare. The media landscape is changing rapidly as online publicity platforms become increasingly valuable and visible. At the same time, Momentum is experiencing rapid and sustainable growth. Due to the speed at which we are growing, our next key hire will be a progressive, digital media-minded public relations professional with a proven track record in creative and strategic thinking, as well as hard-hitting results.

Senior Public Relations Account Manager:
Responsible for supporting both the President and the Momentum team on key accounts and in daily operations

Purpose:
The purpose of this role is to actively manage media relations and oversee and execute day-to-day responsibilities, tasks, and projects for selected accounts. The Senior PR Account Executive will be accountable for all aspects of project management, short and long-term planning, setting goals and meeting expectations, campaign launches and maintenance, and producing or exceeding results in line with agency and client expectations.

In this role, the Senior PR Account Executive will act as a representative of Momentum Media PR and our clients’ brands. As such, qualified candidates will possess a personable sense of confidence as well as a personal passion for an active lifestyle.

Structure of Momentum Media PR Team:
As a boutique agency, our team requires careful calibration and an active role from all team members in every aspect of agency life. This position will include all levels of account work, with ample room for professional growth. Senior PR Account Executives report to the PR Director and President. Qualified candidates will have a proven background in working independently as well as part of a close-knit team.

Accountabilities:

Media Relations (75% of Role):
• Respond with a sense of urgency to all media and client requests and queries
• Plan campaign with client or supervisor, setting goals and drafting roadmap to achieving desired results
• Consider big picture targets such as broadcast and mainstream consumer media, as well as endemic/vertical titles
• Compile contacts from existing media lists and databases, while considering new contacts and appropriate outlets to include in campaign outreach
• Develop compelling communications and thorough pitch/press materials relevant and of value to selected media targets
• Launch or execute campaign outreach, including follow-up, while bridging new relationships and reaching new contacts
• Respond with urgency to all incoming media requests for information, images, product
• Participate and execute all daily reactive and proactive media outreach for clients
• Adjusting campaigns midstream as necessary
• Delivering and tracking results for up-to-the-minute and monthly reporting
• Oversee planning and execution of key media-facing events, including tradeshows
• Direct team members in supporting roles as necessary
• Communicate progress and results to clients on a monthly basis or as specified
• Creation of yearly PR plans in line with marketing goals and integrated marketing plans

Client and Media Facing Operations (15% of role):
• Attending and participating in client calls
• Attending and participating in media-facing events – some travel required
• Attending client visits, meetings, and media visits in various locales
• Overseeing, managing, and executing all aspects of media events
• Ability to manage budgets as necessary

Agency Development (10% of Role):
• Participating in team meetings as a leader sharing best practices, successes and learnings
• Participating in idea generation, brainstorming, and providing insight toward new business opportunities
• Networking on agency behalf and acting as a representative of the Momentum brand and our partner brands
• Participating at a high level in new/potential business presentations
• Assisting with management of junior team member’s time and workload

Candidate Qualifications:
• 2-3 years proven, results-driven track record in a PR/media relations-specific role
• Thorough, experience-based understanding public relations, and the roles and responsibilities of a PR Account Exec
• Flexibility to work in a fast growing, dynamic environment
• Professionally driven to build relationships on clients’ behalf
• Ability to think creatively and strategically in regard to individual pitches and campaigns
• Ability to keep the best interest of the agency and our clients top-of-mind
• High level of business acumen and sound judgement
• Positive, confident, and personable
• Excellent organization and planning ability
• Proven presentation skills to both small and large groups
• Proven problem solving capabilities
• Excellent, clear written and verbal communication skills, with an eye for detail in all internal and external communications
• Proven ability in building continuous improvement into systems and processes
• Excellent time management ability to prioritize with flexibility
• Active participant in outdoor and snowsports lifestyle
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Adobe Acrobat and Photoshop, InDesign and other design suites preferred, wordpress and other blog interfaces preferred
