Overview:
The Senior PR Manager will help drive the publicity efforts for Birkenstock’s products and initiatives in the U.S. market and is responsible for communications strategy, positioning, execution and results reporting. This position will coordinate the Company’s response to media requests, craft story angles and proactive pitches targeted to national and regional trade and consumer media; develop media materials including press releases, talking points and other collateral. The Senior PR Manager works closely with counterparts in the Novato, CA headquarters for Birkenstock Americas and with colleagues in the Birkenstock Communications Group in Germany to develop and implement strategies and ensure adherence to corporate standards.
Responsibilities:
• Promote Birkenstock, USA (BUSA) products and initiatives to consumer, trade and business press; field media requests, and develop close working relationships with members of the media to ensure on-going coverage.
• Create talking points, press releases, press lists and other materials as needed.
• Main point of contact and face of the brand with the media.
• Partner with cross-functional teams such as Product, Digital, Social, Marketing and Sales to ensure cohesive messaging and maximum exposure.
• Ongoing management of media contact lists.
• Handle all communication program reporting.
• Manage external partners as required.
Perform other projects and duties as assigned.
