JanSport, based in Alameda, CA, is in search of a Senior Social Media / Public Relations Coordinator.
The primary responsibilities of the Senior Social Media / Public Relations Coordinator are to drive the JanSport Brand through social media, solicit and respond to editorial product placement opportunities, manage key external partnerships and alliances, and plan and implement events.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage social media communities: develop global policies and procedures, and effective Brand standards, for JanSport’s interaction with targeted communities develop and track programs that grow communities balance product and Brand presence with communities develop trade relationships that enhance content audit JanSport global distributor community for alignment and consistent voice.
2. Drive JanSport initiatives through Public Relations: develop programs that secure product or Company press coverage that reflects global Brand strategies audit JanSport global distributor community for alignment and consistent voice continuous effective product seeding with influencers and Motion Picture Magic TV and film placements conduit for internal sales, RD&D, and marketing to plan forward trade show and consumer activations that drive the strategy.
3. Work with external industry partnerships & alliances to ensure Corporate Citizenship effectiveness and involvement: Big City Mountaineers (BCM), Outdoor Industry Association (OIA), National Association of College Stores (NACS), Mountainfilm in Telluride, Leave No Trace, and others.
4. Other contributions as required or opportunistic.
5. Mentor and manage direct report(s).
