Department: Supply PlanningReports to: Manager, Supply PlanningLocation: North Vancouver, BCYour Opportunity at Arc’teryx:As a Senior Supply Planner & Subject Matter Expert (SME), you will play a key role in the future growth and evolution of the department by supporting the Supply Planning leaders in KPI reporting and evolution, as well as business systems and process improvement. You will represent the department as a subject matter expert in all new systems and process development and implementation, driving evolution and scalability, and ensuring that the team is set up for success in operating the new systems. You will manage a supply planning portfolio of vendors with a high degree of supply chain expertise, leveraging your experience to drive continuous improvement with the department process and systems. Meet your future team:Supply Planning is a highly dynamic and collaborative team of Supply Planners who manage a portfolio of overseas manufacturers, with a focus on building finished goods capacity and production plans that support our business growth. The team collaborates closely to drive process-improvement projects throughout the planning, procurement, and reporting cycle. If you were the Senior Supply Planner & SME now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:! Supporting Supply Planning leaders to track and drive KPI improvement and continuous evolution by analyzing the root cause of issues and providing recommendations for short and long term improvement! Identifying gaps and opportunities within Supply Planning and/or cross-functional processes, working with Supply Planning leaders or other department managers to drive or support improvement with relevant teams! Working with the Sourcing team to develop long and short-term finished good capacity plans at our overseas contract manufacturers.! Staying abreast with current economic and political events to the degree they affect your supply chain, and developing an excellent understanding of the supply chain for the finished goods across the supply network! Procuring finished good products and liaising with our Arc’teryx Liaison Office in Asia to manage work in progress and delivery schedules! Ensuring factory fill rates according to our negotiated capacity and arbitrating internally and externally in the event of over/under-capacity, according to our supply agreements! Partnering with the Merchandise Planning & Allocation teams to improve the quality of the buy plan, and develop supply strategies to improve customer service levels! Working cross-functionally with the Sourcing and Quality Control teams to ensure bulk production ready dates according to the buy schedule! Working cross-functionally with the Raw Material Supply Planning team to align raw material and finished good production schedules and to mitigate supply risks! Managing relationships with manufacturers to ensure optimal supplier performance (growth, on-time delivery, communication, and flexibility) with a focus on long-term and mutually beneficial partnerships.! Managing internal and external expectations with respect to factory capacity and supply risks; preparing analyses and presenting data to drive action! Developing, improving and maintaining Supply Planning SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) to drive process consistency within the department and promote best practices within Supply Planning! Leading and supporting onboarding and training for new supply planners, as well as cross training among supply plannersAre you our next Senior Supply Planner & SME?! You have 5+ years’ experience in Supply Planning or an equivalent Supply Chain position, preferably in the apparel or consumer goods industry.! You have a bachelor’s degree in business, Economics, Engineering, Operations, or Supply Chain and/or APICS certification.! You have knowledge of supply chain management, inventory management, global distribution network planning and project management practices.! You are a proficient user of Excel and have ERP experience.! You have excellent English written and spoken communication skills.! You have advanced analytical skills, understanding possible operational/financial impacts.! You have strong organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, and exceptional multitasking skills.! You have strong interpersonal skills and enjoy working in a people-facing role.! You are not deterred by ambiguity and frequent changes in the world of supply chain.! You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues, seeking the best (sometimes not the easiest) solutions with an unwavering commitment to do what is right!
