Val Surf is an icon of action sports retail established in 1962 and currently operating in four locations: Valley Village, Valencia, Woodland Hills, and Thousand Oaks. We grew up surfing, skating, and snowboarding, and to this day our shop curbs are waxed, our stores smell like surf wax, and we pray for snow.
We have an opening at our Valencia location for a Ski / Snowboard Rental & Retail Snow Sales Associate to join the crew.
Val Surf is looking for a sales associate for their Ski and Snowboard Rental Department as well as an associate for their Snowboard Sales Department. An associate for the Rental Department will need to have knowledge in Skiing and Snowboarding. An associate for the Snowboard Sales Department will need to have knowledge in Snowboarding. One associate may qualify for both positions and work between them as the schedule permits.
RESPONSIBILITIES //
• Provide a high level of customer service to all customers
• Maintain a clean, organized rental area and store-front
• Answer questions and provide information to customers about snow equipment
• Fit, size and assist customers with rental equipment and hard goods inventory
• Maintain and carry out store policies and procedures
QUALIFICATIONS //
• 1 year of previous retail or snow rental experience REQUIRED
• Skiing / Snowboarding experience
• 1+ years of customer service experience, preferably in sales
• Strong customer service skills and outgoing personality
• Knowledge of ski / snowboard equipment and fitting requirements
• Ability to work and communicate well with a team of people
