Now, (here’s the tough one) raise your hand if you are qualified to take on our newly opened position of Junior Spec Writer. Is it up? Ok then, you passed. Does working with our Development and Design team to take design concepts and transform them into finished goods sound like something you’d like to do? Then read on to get the details of the job and the qualifications we’re looking for.
As Junior Spec Writer you will be responsible but not limited to the following:
• Conduct fit session with product development team and design team.
• Communicate technical changes/ measurement to vendor.
• Daily communication with vendors.
• Prepare all samples for fitting.
• Review samples for spec measurements.
• Work with Supervisor in initial stage of tech pack spec development.
These are the qualifications you’ll need:
• Fashion College or equivalent in experience is required.
• Must have 2-3 years in apparel industry.
• BA degree is preferred.
• Need knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Illustrator, Word.
• Ability to multi-task, work well under pressure, and be detail oriented is necessary.
