CCS is an iconic brand in skateboarding and street inspired fashion. Founded in 1985 as a mail order company with an annual catalog circulation of 10+ million, we purchased CCS from Foot Locker in 2014 and transformed it into a digital first business that is now one of the largest and fastest growing action sports ecommerce companies in the United States.
Our growth has been fueled by significant investments in product customization technologies, growing partnerships with leading branding and artists, a focus on original content creation and storytelling, and our CCS+ loyalty program. CCS has 55+ employees and is headquartered in Portland, Oregon.
The position reports to the CCS Brand Director.
While we are headquartered in Portland, remote applicants are encouraged to apply.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Be the creative force behind all CCS social media efforts
• Develop, create, post, and DM on all of our social media channels
• Work with the CCS brand team to develop new ideas and craft posts in the CCS brand voice
• Work behind the camera and in front of it; you’ll need to be comfortable being public facing and having genuine, loving, and enthusiastic interactions with CCS followers, both lovers and haters.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
• Strong passion for skate, footwear and streetwear cultures.
• Have a deep understanding of relevant social media channels (mostly vertical video for TikTok, IG and YouTube and then whatever comes next).
• Be entrepreneurial – you’re not starting a business but we need proactive, self-motivated, ambitious people who are curious and excited to hunt for new ideas.
• Comfortable doing both the fun work of creation and the less fun work (perhaps) of planning, strategizing, and coordinating.
• Willingness to work within the plans laid out by the marketing team.
• Able to understand the nuance of our brand voice and have fun with content and copy when the time is right.
• Strong writing skills.
