Founded in 1996, Camber Outdoors is the only national organization dedicated to achieving equality for all women in the active-outdoor industries. Through creative and thought-leading programming and initiatives, including the Camber Outdoors CEO Pledge, Pitchfest, Camber Exchanges, and our cross-industry, cross-company mentoring program, we are collectively ensuring our partner companies, the industries we serve, and the places we play are truly Everyone’s Outdoors, where diverse talent thrives.

Camber Outdoors is committed to the vision of Everyone’s Outdoors. With our partner companies, individual members, and supporters we are accelerating and elevating women’s leadership and participation in the outdoors, from the backcountry to the boardroom. Camber Outdoors is an Equal Opportunity Employer and Prohibits Discrimination and Harassment of Any Kind: Camber Outdoors is committed to the principle of equal employment opportunity for all employees and to providing employees with a work environment free of discrimination and harassment. All employment decisions at Camber Outdoors are based on business needs, job requirements and individual qualifications, without regard to ethnicity, culture, color, religion or belief, gender identity or expression, family or parental status, physical abilities or sexual orientation, or any status protected by the laws or regulations in the locations where we operate.

This is your opportunity to play a major role in helping Camber Outdoors accelerate its mission.

Position Overview:

Through our social media channels, we’re positioned both to women of all color, culture, and ethnicity, gender identity and expression, physical abilities and sexual orientation being active outdoors and to promote our partner companies as employers of choice for women. We endeavor to build a social community that exemplifies our vision of Everyone’s Outdoors, where all women who love the outdoors—from industry leaders and professional athletes to weekend warriors, everyday enthusiasts, and newbies—can see themselves reflected and celebrated.

The Camber Outdoors Social Media Specialist will help us reach this vision and grow this community. Do you focus on the details of day-to-day tasks without losing sight of the big picture? Do you understand the value of an inspiring, engaging social community and know the importance of curating both content and experience to accurately reflect (and amplify) the Camber Outdoors brand. Are you aware of the nuance needed to strike the right brand voice and tone for an organization that’s working to elevate and accelerate, not alienate.

If you have a knack for all-things social—Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn—keen emotional intelligence and brand instincts, and an eye for design (facility with Adobe Creative Suite is a definite plus). We want to hear from you. A collaborative nature is important, as is the ability to set a course and work productively and independently. Excellent listening, writing, and overall communication skills are important. (Word nerds, you’ve found your tribe.)
