Summary:
The Sponsorship & Outreach Manager will oversee and manage sponsorships and relationships for all Giant Group brands (Giant, Liv, CADEX, and Momentum) to support our marketing program. In addition will manage sponsored athletes and ambassadors to build brand energy through events, social media content, and retailer interactions; review partnership opportunities for community and advocacy programs and lead out activations. Responsible for budgets and contracts within these relationships.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage a best-in-class sponsored athlete and influencer program, including scouting new talent that aligns with our product focus and training
- Create, review and finalize contracts for all athletes, ambassadors/influencers, advocacy and sponsorships
- Responsible for department budget review, analysis and spending
- Manage the athlete and ambassador team to nurture the Giant brands with monthly or quarterly energetic social media postings
- Oversee and maintain equitable and trusted relationships with community nonprofits and key environmental, DEI and social impact organizations
- Work with Brand and Field Marketing team to design, implement and manage high-value programs and guest experience concepts
- Collaborate with onsite teams to actively manage and improve SOPs for event onsite programming and community partnerships; develop scalable solutions for programming opportunities
- Meet with potential experience vendors, retail and brand partners, and community organizations for partnership opportunities and review
Qualifications:
- 2 - 5 years of directly related experience, ideally within the outdoor industry
- Experience conceiving, developing, and building a scalable ambassador, influencer and sponsored athlete program for cycling or outdoor brand
- Strong understanding of current outdoor industry brands, including nonprofit landscape, DEI trends and sustainability best practices
- Strong understanding of brand partnerships with experience in event/programming planning and execution
- Organizational skills and ability to create resources for cross-team management
- Ability to manage multiple, complex priorities within compressed timeframes, strong project and time management skills
- Strong public speaking; ability to present ideas and feedback thoughtfully and confidently to various stakeholders
- Able and willing to travel as needed for meetings, visits, and projects
- Passionate about bicycles and the cycling industry!
- Exempt full time position based out of our corporate office in Newbury Park, CA.
