Supports the Loss Prevention and Safety programs and efforts within the Distribution Center. Works closely with the Safety and Loss Prevention Manager to implement policies, systems and programs relating to accident prevention, safety, environmental health, security and fire prevention and protection techniques. Conducts unbiased and objective audits regarding the standards, policies, procedures and metrics relating to the protection of these assets.



Key Responsibilities:

1. Conducts daily walk-through of the DC, identifying compliance gaps in both Safety and Loss Prevention policies. Notifies appropriate associates and management when DC is not in compliance or potentially is not in compliance. Investigates root causes and reports to Safety & LP Manager.
2. Conduct and ensure the timely completion of routine Safety & LP audits to identify existing or potential exposure and monitor compliance to policy and procedure expectation.
3. Inspects, reviews and coaches the DC Contracted Security Officer's performance and ensures their adherence to policies and procedures. Informs the Safety & LP Manager of any issues or concerns and inspects for resolution implementation.
4. Responsible for ensuring that the DC's physical security standards (includes Access Control Management) are in place by conducting property and physical inspections. Conducts perimeter and trailer checks.

5. Conducts and assists with accident investigations, including review and follow up of accident investigation reports and develops methods for preventing additional accidents.
6. Identifies potential theft patterns and reports information directly to Safety & LP Manager. Supports in on-going investigations.
7. Initiates and completes other duties assigned per Safety and LP Manager.
8. Facilitates safety trainings per IPM and DC guidelines. Coordinates the distribution and filing of Safety Communications (posters, weekly training bulletins, etc.). Coordinates, monitors and maintains inspection records of all LP and Safety related equipment.
9. Participates in safety team meetings & task groups in order to help provide a safe and secure workplace.
10. Ensures fire hazards are eliminated and conducts periodic drills and inspections to maintain fire and emergency readiness.

Education/Experience:
Years of Related Professional Experience: 3-5.
Three (3) to five (5) years of Loss Prevention, fire prevention, safety, or security experience or equivalent preferredHigh School diploma or equivalent requiredAA degree preferred.
Skills:

Computer skills include MS Office (Word and Excel)
Strong LP Presence
Strong administrative and organizational skills
Effective oral and written communication skills
Bilingual preferred (Spanish)
Strong analytical ability to gather and interpret information develop,
recommend and implement solutions.
Knowledge of OSHA, environmental, safety, health and Loss Prevention rules and
regulations desirable.
Basic knowledge of security systems i.e. alarms, CCTV, etc. desirable.

Special Requirements:
Warehouse environment: Must be physically capable of working in conditions
normally associated with a merchandise warehouse or distribution center, such
as, but not limited to, warm and cold temperatures, seeing and hearing moving
equipment to stay out of harms way, and continuous power equipment noise
Bend, Lift and move product up to 50 pounds
Work shifts can include weekends and 2nd shift.
