If you are a passionate and experienced designer with a love for creating stunning dresses and a desire to lead and inspire, we encourage you to apply and be part of our dynamic and innovative design team.</p><p></p><p><b>PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:</b></p><p>Creative Design:</p><ul><li>Conceptualize and develop creative and innovative designs for women's dresses, ranging from casual to formal and seasonal collections.</li><li>Stay updated with the latest fashion trends, colors, fabrications, and silhouettes relevant to women's dresses.</li></ul><p>Seasonal Collections:</p><ul><li>Collaborate with the design team and the design director to create seasonal dress collections that align with the brand's vision and market demands.</li><li>Present design concepts and storyboards to internal stakeholders, including merchandisers and executives.</li></ul><p>Product Development:</p><ul><li>Work closely with product developers and technical designers to create detailed tech packs and design specifications for dress prototypes and production.</li><li>Ensure that the fit and construction of all dresses meet high-quality standards and customer expectations.</li></ul><p>Brand Alignment and Aesthetic:</p><ul><li>Understand and maintain the brand's aesthetic and design language in all women's dress products.</li><li>Collaborate with the brand team to ensure consistent storytelling and branding across dress collections.</li></ul><p>Trend Research and Analysis:</p><ul><li>Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation in the women's dress market.</li><li>Explore new fabrications, finishes, and design techniques to enhance dress designs.</li></ul><p>Presentation and Communication:</p><ul><li>Effectively communicate design concepts and ideas to team members and stakeholders, fostering a cohesive and creative work environment.</li><li>Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product developers, merchandisers, and suppliers, to ensure seamless execution of design concepts.</li></ul><p>Mentorship and Collaboration:</p><ul><li>Provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers, nurturing their professional growth and creativity.</li><li>Collaborate with the design team to ensure a collaborative and supportive atmosphere.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:</b></p><p></p><p><b>Experience: </b>7-10 years of related design experience </p><p></p><p><b>Education: </b>Bachelors Degree in related field required</p><p></p><p><b>Skills: </b></p><ul><li>Proven experience as a Senior Designer or in a lead design role within women's dresses or a relevant category in the fashion industry.</li><li>Strong portfolio showcasing your creative and technical design skills in women's dresses.</li><li>Proficiency in design software and tools like Adobe Creative Suite.</li><li>In-depth knowledge of dress trends, fabrications, construction techniques, and patternmaking.</li><li>Detail-oriented with a strong eye for aesthetics and quality.</li><li>Excellent communication and presentation skills to articulate design concepts effectively.</li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and meet project deadlines.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>BUDGETARY RESPONSIBILITIES: </b></p><p>Sample budget</p><p>Freelance budget</p><p>Travel budget</p><p>T&E approval</p><p></p><p><b>DECISION MAKING: </b>The Sr Designer holds a vital role in the development of the Calvin Klein outerwear line for each season, giving direction to the designers and presenting the line to senior management.</p><p></p><p><b>RESOURCEFULNESS/CREATIVITY: </b>Highly creative role, requiring strong awareness of current global trends in fashion as well as awareness of latest technology in fabric and trim research & development.</p><p></p><div><p>#LI-HYBRID #LI-JL2</p></div><p>Pay Range:
$130,000 - $155,000<br>PVH currently provides base salary ranges for all positions-on job advertisements-in the United States based on local requirements. These ranges are based on what PVH reasonably believes that it will pay an associate for their base salary for said position at the time of the posting. Individual compensation will ultimately be determined based on a variety of relevant factors including but-not limited to qualifications, geographic location and other relevant skills.
