JOB MISSION: 

 

The Senior Manager - Global Retail Training will play the key role in designing, developing, and deploying learning and development programs for owned, 3rd party, and distributor retail employees globally. This position continually partners with regions to assess existing learning and to identify new learning which drives consumer experience, operational processes, and productivity improvements in our stores. This multi-faceted position requires experience in both curriculum design, creation, and implementation to bring training experiences to life.? 

 

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES: 

 

LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT 

!
Assess existing retail training modules across regions, channels and functions to determine current state of learning tools, modules and competencies compared to standard 

!
Develop curriculum design plan which addresses consumer engagement and experiences best practices, operational processes and procedures, and product knowledge training (aligned with global DTC game plan) 

!
Build appropriate learning modules from scoping to completion based on curriculum design plan using instructional design methodology and a variety of formats?including?self-directed,?instructor-led,?digital, integrated to the flow of work, ‘train the trainer’?and blended approaches to close gaps and deliver expected outcomes 

!
Recommend and implement current techniques of learning meant to engage retail associate population including graphics, videos, podcasts, surveys, games, simulations and job aids using authoring tools such as Articulate, Rise, Storyline and Adobe Creative Suite 

!
Establish training metrics of success which align to company goals and focuses; providing on-going reporting and data on course completion, knowledge transfer, associate learning experience and business impact to inform decision making? 

 

BUSINESS 

!
Build roadmap of learning for all retail channels, including, consumer engagement and experiences best practices, operational processes and procedures, and product knowledge 

!
Market and launch Global Retail Training Center of Excellence, establishing and maintaining global curriculum portal and library accessible to region and channel partners 

!
Effectively project management?a variety of?learning?initiatives?to ensure?coordination of logistics,?marketing,?timing, materials, schedules record-keeping, monitoring course completion, confidentially managing associate training records 

!
Stay updated on trends in learning design and?continuously develop knowledge base of training concepts, models and approaches.? 

 

RELATIONSHIPS 

!
Liaise with corporate and regional training partners to consistently develop, facilitate and implement training? 

!
Coach and train teams on New Balance retail best practices 

!
Partner and collaborate with multiple stakeholders across retail, loss prevention, and HR to ensure that?initiatives are effectively?actively integrated and applied across the associate?experience 

 

 

 

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS: 

!
5-7?years’ experience?in training or related function, preferably in a retail environment 

!
Demonstrated?experience?creating?compelling graphics and user interfaces?with Articulate 360,?Storyline,?Rise,?Adobe Creative Suite? 

!
Proficient in?Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint)? 

!
Experience within a retail learning and training environment to include analysis, design, build, delivery, evaluation of a range of training programs for retail 

!
Knowledge of adult learning theory, needs analysis, modern learning?formats, learning?design and evaluation?methodology? 

!
Demonstrated experience delivering learning experiences through a variety of formats including in person instructor led; virtual instructor led; self-directed learning paths and?advanced?facilitation? 

!
Highly influential, engaging and persuasive in communications. Strong written and verbal communication skills?? 

!
Strong collaboration skills and?the?ability to work as part of a team in a dynamic environment? 

!
Ability to?develop tactical action plans to accomplish objectives? 

!
Project management expertise, ideally with experience rolling out training plans, including all training logistics and budgets 

!
Experience managing content, registrations?and reporting data in a Learning Management System- preferably Workday

!
Knowledge of Agile, Scrum or Kanban, and experience in delivering products using these frameworks desired

Flexible Work Schedule
