Leading glove and accessory company is looking for an experienced Production Manager to help improve production operations and efficiencies. The Production Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing production staff, and coordinating the production process from product approval through bulk production. Product line includes gloves, hats, cold weather accessories, hunting accessories and work wear products.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Manage two to three direct reports and associated subordinates.
• Oversee process flow and timelines of the production team.
• Assure timely and accurate communication to our factories and suppliers.
• Develop procedures and workflow to improve efficiencies in communication and planning process.
• Oversee communication with domestic and foreign supply chain.
• Develop MRP system integration with the planning and information system processes.
• Integrate manual tracking reports into main computer system.
• Assure accurate cost analysis to hit targets.
• Assist buyers in enhancing cost negotiations.
• Oversee sourcing of new suppliers, existing supplier relationships.
• Manage sampling process and assure timelines are met.
• Manage product approval process to assure specifications are followed and documented.
Skills:
• Minimum three years experience in production management.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance (CPSIA, Prop 65, etc…).
• Excellent communication skills with staff and executive management.
• Ability to inspire and motivate staff.
• Ability to communicate and report timeline status to executive management.
• Must be strong team leader with ability to inspire and motivate staff.
• Ability to exercise good judgment and decision making.
• Must be self-directed and capable of setting priorities for team.
• Must be able to work in fast paced, rapidly changing environment.
