The primary responsibilities of the Brand Marketing Manager is to manage the GTM (Go To Market) Strategy for their assigned categories. This spans from product creation insights all the way to consumer facing campaign management. The Brand Marketing Manager role is the hub between product, sales and marketing. Establish control-related standards and procedures.
Qualifications
Education/Experience:
- Years of Related Professional Experience: 5+.
- BA or BS degree in business, marketing or other related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years Snowsports or Outdoor-specific brand marketing, product and/or retail experience required
- A minimum of 5 years in brand management and/or marketing-related role.
- Market research study development, analysis and reporting skills.
- Working knowledge of trademarks and patent registration process.
Skills:
- Must be quantitative minded and possess solid spreadsheet skills.
- Must be an excellent project manager and leader
- Able to work in a team environment and be flexible.
- Working knowledge of market research fundamentals and processes required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Database and PowerPoint required.
- Exceptionally strong written and oral communication skills required.
- Must be proficient at communicating research findings and implications.
- Must be able to work professionally with flexibility in handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- This position requires a results-oriented individual who has exceptional organizational skills, strong attention to detail, excellent communication and grammatical skills, planning, scheduling and problem solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Work closely with the Director, Brand Management to manage GTM strategy: Embed consumer needs insight work into product creation, work with Product Directors to reconcile product initiative positioning against key consumer benefits, develop seasonal comprehensive marketing strategy that can be activated by global functional teams, brief seasonal creative.
2. Maintain and update as needed Global 360 Consumer profiles by ABM – Embed use of profiles and brand positioning into all aspects of our creative process
3. Brief and communicate production and asset development calendar with Global Brand teams and regional cross-functional teams. Embed consumer insight work into all creative executions
4. Plan US media and creative strategy that aligns with seasonal brand initiatives, consumer segments and brand equity targets
5. Manage Global Initiative Brand Naming and Trademarks Program including but not limited to: Brand, product, and technology naming projects as assigned, Brand, product and technology trademark search and clearance, Trademark renewal and opposition projects as assigned by VF Trademarks.
6. Other general management responsibilities include: budgets, timelines, and administrative tasks.
