Girl Skateboards / Fourstar Clothing are looking for an Apparel Design Assistant / Developer.

LOCATION: Torrance, California

SUMMARY:
The Apparel Design Assistant / Developer will work in close collaboration with the Sr. Apparel Designer in the design and development of apparel and accessories across all categories.

DUTIES:
• Generation and maintenance of tech packs across all categories
• Submission of tech packs and all other development assets to factories
• Product development tracking and vendor communication
• Product illustration, garment spec’ing
• Seasonal design research
• Collaboration with Sr. Apparel Designer, Athletes, Graphics and Marketing Departments
• Communication with Production Department
• Strict adherence to seasonal calendars and development timelines
• Assistance in facilitation of seasonal catalog assets and marketing initiatives

REQUIREMENTS:
• Minimum one year full-time experience
• Familiarity with basic garment construction and product development
• Proficiency in Illustrator. Working knowledge of Mac OS. Familiarity with Photoshop, Excel and Keynote are a plus.

• Superior time management and organizational ability
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize day to day
• Positive and professional attitude while working in fast-paced environment
• Self-motivated
• Skateboard industry experience is helpful but not mandatory
