Matix Clothing Co is looking for a creative, organized and eager to learn individual to assist our girls apparel designer as Design Assistant.

This position requires Apparel Design experience and / or education. It is not a graphic design position.
This is a great opportunity for an entry-level candidate to grow into our design dept.

Requirements:
- Illustrator & Photoshop knowledge
- Design education and/or 1year relevant work experience is preferred.
- Retail clothing experience is a bonus.

Description:
• Responsible for assisting girl’s collection/designs from initial concept through pp-sample.
• Assisting in fit sessions, specing garments, keeping track of sample specs.
• Assist in developing patterns and color ways for appropriate fabrics.
• Assist in trim selection and development.
• Complete and maintain tech packs and specs, update any changes on cads and merch pages.
• Drawing cad sketches and color ups in Illustrator.
• Send out tech packs to Domestic & International vendors.
• Keep on top of vendors with proto’s, photo samples & sales samples
• Other duties as periodically requested.
