The Warehouse General Manager is responsible for the day-to-day coordination and execution of company policies and procedures. This position will report to and work directly with the executive team to implement strategies that will achieve company objectives.
• Manage day-to-day operations of the warehouse and team effectively
• Compile high level reports and analysis of operations including but not limited to: Inventory Turn Over, Storage Capacity, Usage, Order Processing, Operational Bottlenecks
• Manage shipping and receiving for all company packages daily
• Ensure all orders are processed accurately, timely, and efficiently
• Create and manage solutions for inventory capacity issues
• Collaborate with office team to ensure special projects, pack-outs, orders, and shipments are handled accurately and promptly
• Schedule and assign employees to complete tasks as needed
• Manage warehousing operations to assure best practices are in use to minimize cost and maximize efficiency
• Maintain physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts, inspecting any equipment, issuing work orders for repair/requests for replacement, and keeping the warehouse clean and organized
• Maintains a good standing with attendance, quality, and productivity
Qualifications:
• At least 3-5 years of experience at a Manager level in apparel warehouse or distribution environment
• Ability to work quickly, efficiently and independently with minimal supervision
• Comfort with, and knowledge of basic web tools and technologies
• Familiarity with computer applications: MS office, warehouse manage systems, and ERP’s
• Familiar with EDI and major department store requirements
• Strong teamwork skills and experience working with logistics and other teams
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Safety management and surveillance skills
• Working knowledge of OSHA, HAZMAT, FDA, DOT regulations and the willingness to become certified in one or more of these areas as needed
• Working knowledge of warehouse/mechanical equipment and maintenance
• Ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish is required
• Apparel Industry 3PL is required
