Position Overview
The Team Manager, K2 Ski will oversee the execution of our athlete and team vision for K2 Ski, in conjunction with brand goals. They’ll manage the athlete strategy, talent development, organize team GTM content creation and facilitate inbound and outbound communication with the team.
Responsibilities
Manage all K2 Ski’s athlete and team strategies worldwide, as defined by the brand vision and goals.
In charge of all aspects of athlete management-from contract execution to their talent development, support, campaign involvement.
Organize, execute and participate in team photo shoots and GTM content creation.
Own the global athlete program, working closely with global regions and domestically on athlete programs from pro to flow.
Set up and maintain consistent athlete participation with the brand; from inbound and outbound communication, and be the owner of their involvement to other departments within the company.
Develop and manage a detailed athlete calendar with multiple individual and all-team gatherings throughout the year.
Own and manage athlete deliverables for brand web/online presence, including site launches, maintenance, ongoing online campaigns, etc.
Manage athlete social focus, to further enhance their outward presence, growth and media coverage.
Travel to company events with athletes and to relevant events within the scene and sport.
Order and manage all products necessary for athletes.
Own a network of industry contacts to facilitate co-sponsor conversations to better align athletes for future promotions.
Set up development program to identify and promote the next-generation of athlete talent.
Manage athlete public relations efforts, including but not limited to: core and other media connections, announcements, press releases, social programs.
Required Qualifications
Strong understanding of the snowboard industry, market and lifestyle
Ability to alpine ski competently in all conditions
Ability to travel extensively sometimes internationally to any country that has snow
Strong management and interpersonal skills
Ability to work with and coordinate a diverse group of people (team riders, sales reps, accountants, shop staff, general ski customers).
Work history in ski and/or related sports industries
Excellent work ethic and enthusiasm
Ability to organize multiple tasks and manage projects
Possession of advanced computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Powerpoint, Word, Excel, and Adobe products
Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
Understanding of Ecommerce marketing and sales strategies
Photography skills
Video/editing knowledge and experience
Preferred Qualifications
Self-directed and motivated.
2 years experience in Athlete management and coordinator
Experience with Concur or other budget/expense systems
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit in front of computer for long periods of time
May be required to lift 15-50 pounds occasionally
This is a SALARY position with Elevate Outdoor Collective. The pay range for this role is $50,000 - $70,000 annually.
