We are building the Biggest, Baddest, Brand on the PLANET. The Design Director – Equipment and Accessories will be an innovative thinker that is eager to drive the creative direction for Under Armour’s hardgoods (including protection, gloves, equipment), and softgoods (headwear, bags, accessories) and change the game.
The position will set a new standard for innovation and unique visual aesthetics that will define Under Armour Equipment and Accessories, set them apart from the competition while establishing a cohesive look and feel that ties all categories together and clearly defines them as Under Armour.
The position will direct and be accountable for all design components within Equipment and Accessories product, graphics and industrial design managing an internal design team and collaborating with licensed partners.
A vital part of this role will be to collaborate with other business units (Apparel, Footwear and Outdoor) and senior design leadership, leverage cross-departmental creativity to establish and support the global corporate creative direction. Strong communication and management skills and experience is essential.

What will I do at UA?
• Be the leader in creating global brand identity and distinctive Under Armour offerings with a creative and current design vision
• Design and present a collection of stories for the Under Armour athlete under aggressive time lines
• Develop process and calendar to ensure your team meets all key deadlines
• Develop and execute clear and detailed technical kits for development
• Interact cross functionally with PLMs, Developers, Sourcing, and Sports Marketing for seasonal line development
• Build and continually improve innovation in all categories
• Supervise a team of designers while ensuring team and individual goals are met
The ideal candidate will have:
• BA or BFA in Design
• 12+ years of related experience working in the sports industry or related field
• Proven record for innovative and cutting edge design
• Exceptional management and leadership skills
• Ability to communicate and lead change in a fast paced environment
