General Summary:
This position is responsible for leading Chrome’s sales strategy and future direction. The Director of Sales will create and achieve targeted sales to support the long-range planning process. This position will manage US sales force (Sales Agencies, Sales Representatives) and Sales Operations (Customer Service).
Key Responsibilities:
• Establish a clear sales strategy to support and grow the brand
• Analyze existing markets, and target future markets, in conjunction with the President, Board of Directors and the LRP
• Manage, mentor, coach and lead US sales force
• Develop and maintain quality relationships with key retailers
• Monitor sales rep performance through regular sales reporting
• Sales budget preparation and management
• Expense budget management
• Drive inventory management process by participating in monthly buys and actively moving product into the market through required means
• Develop and enforce policy and procedure to ensure highest possible level of customer service for dealers
• Oversee Customer Service and provide oversight and guidance for wholesale Customer Service
• Disseminate key retail-oriented market information to the product management organization
• Provide market expertise regarding competitors product offerings and programs
• Lead and organize bi-annual Sales Meetings.
Knowledge/Skills Required:
• 5 – 7 years of experience managing a sales force
• 2 – 3 years of experience in customer service or managing a customer service department
• A bachelor's degree that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities
• Ability to lead, coach and develop staff to improve performance and achieve professional goals
• Ability to read, analyze, prepare and interpret sales reports and market information
• Ability to develop long-term sales plans and programs and to evaluate work accomplishments
• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with other management staff, employees and the industry
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent problem solving skills
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time, both internationally and nationally. Willing and able to work additional hours when needed. Bend, lift, open and move product and related office items varying in weight up to 25lbs.
