The Vice President Global Integrated Business Planning (IBP) is the leader of our global planning efforts at Patagonia. Reporting to the President of Patagonia, Inc., the Vice President Global Integrated Business Planning is responsible for aligning Leadership on annual sales & inventory targets and driving decisions to achieve sales targets and improve inventory productivity. In this role you will be responsible for overseeing the integrated planning function across all product categories, channels, and regions, ensuring alignment with our corporate vision and goals. You will manage a global team of planners who oversee demand planning, inventory management, allocation, replenishment, and merchandising.
What You’ll Do:
Ensure Leadership Alignment on Annual Sales & Inventory Targets:
Coordinate with Leadership to set sales and inventory targets by Business Unit and Region to enable product and region / channel strategies while achieving corporate financial productivity and global region / channel mix targets
Approve Long Range and Seasonal Merchandise Financial Plans to ensure product / region / channel mix targets and corporate financial targets are achieved
Drive inventory decisions to maximize sales, achieve target inventory levels and productivity metrics
Act as key thought partner for Business Unit, Finance, Supply Chain and Region leadership to help evaluate risk and/or opportunity and surface for global / leadership alignment
Ensure Quality & Timeliness of Sales Forecasts:
Pressure test global plans and forecasts to validate quality of assumptions and understanding of risks
Monitor balance of Financial Plans, monthly Demand Forecast, Supply Plans and Capacity; drive resolution of identified gaps or imbalances
Maintain forward perspective for continuous planning improvements (e.g., enhanced replenishment product planning, improved S&OP process)
Drives standardization across Business Units, Global, Regions, and Channels to maintain high integrity of planning processes:
Lead Integrated Business Planning Process rollout across all global divisions and drive consistent process and calendar approach to provide the best possible information to supply chain
Lead global planning teams change management for new process implementation, continuous improvement, and transition to future-state planning systems
Champion monthly S&OP process working with Global and Region planning teams to present actionable insights, risks, and proposed solutions for executive alignment
Partner with Business Unit, Region, Supply Chain and Finance leadership to build trust and facilitate full participation in Integrated Business Planning process

On-going Integrated Business Planning (IBP) design and implementation
Global Planning Systems selection in collaboration with Patagonia’s Technology team

Experience You Bring:
10+ years of experience in demand planning, inventory management, allocation, replenishment and merchandising in branded apparel in wholesale, retail and e-commerce channels
5+ years of experience in a senior leadership role in planning
Bachelor or Master’s degree in business administration, supply chain, or related field preferred
Proven track records of developing and implementing successful planning strategies and initiatives
Strong knowledge of integrated planning principles, processes, methods and tools
Excellent leadership, management and interpersonal skills
Exceptional analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
Effective communication, presentation and negotiation skills
Pay range: $240,000.00 - $360,000.00
Hiring range: $300,000.00 - $350,000.00
