Through God's grace, C28 Christian Stores are expanding nationally. We have an opportunity of a lifetime for a Senior Merchandise Manager to manage our purchasing/operational needs as well as our forecasted new store growth.

C28 is a Southern California Christian retailer in business for 6 years with 10 stores, offering an alternative to the mainstream mall stores. The mission of C28 is to share the life changing gospel message of grace, truth and love of Jesus. Here are the skills/requirements this job will entail:

Develop seasonal merchandise plans utilizing sales trend reports to ensure correct product mix & inventory levels
Effectively manage the "open to buy"
Strong analytical/computer skills required to analyze store sales in determining min/max store inventories
Clear understanding of financial measurements and income statement reporting
Perform gross margin and inventory turns analyses
Posses a strong sense of style and trends
Ability to be flexible, work extended hours when necessary and travel to stores
Experience in the youth retail apparel market is a plus. Person must be a mature retailer, enjoy hard work, be humble and have a great positive attitude. Person must be "hands on" to manage product categories by region and by store mix. Must interface effectively and provide buying guidance for C28 Franchise owners. Person would manage the material/inventory supply of C28 company stores as well as C28 Franchise stores.
