Surfing Magazine has the following position open and invites qualified applicants to submit their resume indicating their interest in the following position:

ASSISTANT ART DIRECTOR - SURFING MAGAZINE

Located in San Clemente, CA

Job Summary:
-This is a full time, in-house position.
-Create layouts, graphic designs, illustrations and typesetting for a monthly magazine.
-Work within established design parameters under supervision of the Art Director. -Design in-house advertisements and products (t-shirts, stickers, POP displays, etc.)

Qualifications:
-College or art degree required.
-A minimum two years in graphic design, production, or relevant experience.
-Proficient on Mac-based applications: Photoshop, Illustrator, and QuarkXPress.
-Excellent attention to detail.
-Must work well with the creative team, and take direction.
-Willing to work long, flexible hours as needed.
-Drive and interest to grow and expand.
-Knowledge and/or appreciation of the sport of surfing.
-Interest in the action sports industry is a must.
