The Purchasing Coordinator supports purchasing processes with various data management tasks including entry, tracking and expediting of purchase orders. In addition to these daily activities, special projects will be assigned as need arises.
Commitment and daily demonstration of excellence in accuracy and communication are essential to success in this position.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manage and maintain purchasing data in MAS 500.
• Deliver accurate results under tight deadlines.
• Efficiently expedite purchase order entry and edits and the routing of purchase orders.
• Collect and analyze data to prepare reports.
• Prepare reports and maintain large master spreadsheets with 100% accuracy.
• Review daily material receipts against purchase orders to ensure MRP data reporting is accurate.
• Navigate Harmonized Tariff Schedules with accurate results
• Collaborate effectively with purchasing staff to achieve collective goals.
• Collaborate productively and efficiently with production and inventory control staff to ensure accuracy of MRP data and to reconcile any discrepancies between purchase orders and receipts.
• Provide accounting staff with information needed to reconcile invoicing discrepancies.
• Interface effectively with all departments and with suppliers as assigned.
• Perform other related duties as needed.
REQUIREMENTS:
• 3 years of purchasing experience in the cycling industry or a related manufacturing industry.
• 3 years of purchasing experience with database applications and ERP/MRP systems.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills including very high accuracy with data management.
• Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience.
