Winchester Repeating Arms, an industry leader in the Shooting and Hunting Outdoor industry, is seeking a talented Winchester Sales Manager to grow and execute Winchester branded firearms sales efforts. WRA is located in Mountain Green, Utah, and located just 40 miles NE of Salt Lake City. Our headquarters is accessible from all areas of the Wasatch Front. This position entails working with the Sales, Marketing and Firearms division to direct sales to the US dealer and distribution base. These efforts will require creating specific sales programs and strategies for multiple classes of trade and working with independently contracted sales representatives. This position plays a very big role in creating, developing, and maintaining strong beneficial relationships with the Winchester customers. Needs to be able to perform to a very high standard in changing circumstances, and be an advocate of change, and can make decisions in complex situations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:
1. Continually demonstrates a deep understanding of the outdoors industry, market and wider commercial/political issues outside the organization, and considers the impact they will have on strategy.
2. Creates and maintains annual and monthly sales forecasts for territories and key accounts.
3. Develops and manages category specific sales programs and cooperative merchandising efforts with the Sales, Marketing and Firearms management team.
4. Identifies and reports on sales trends, creating promotions and reporting competitive information.
5. Adopts strategies to make working practices more efficient, and takes responsibility for reviewing and redesigning practices.
6. Cooperatively works with the firearms product team to direct sales strategies and rep communication.
7. Maintains relationships with current key accounts and develops strategic relationships with potential customers. In addition, needs to turn demanding and difficult relationships into mutually beneficial ones. Shepherds relationships through difficult circumstances, making them stronger as a result.
8. Needs to be able to create long term plans, and identify the long-term implications of major decisions which includes challenging others to think strategically.
9. Must be current on market trends (firearms specific) and have the ability to provide feedback on forecasted customer needs as it relates to strategic direction and product planning.
10. Acts as an advocate for focusing on results, and can cut through confusion to get at important tasks. Has the ability to realign activity with overall results, and adapts responsibilities appropriately.
11. Travel is required to make sales calls and work with sales representatives and key accounts.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position will have a joint supervisory role over in-house sales support staff and will assist the V.P. of Sales in managing independent rep goals, objectives, compensation and contract structure.
