Responsibilities




The graphic designer is a member of the K2 Snowboarding marketing design team responsible for developing graphic artwork for all K2 Snowboard product and collateral. In addition, prepares a variety of graphic design and layout work in preparation of various catalogs, posters, pop, advertisements, packaging, collateral, books newsletters and flyers.
• Creates and designs graphics for layouts of all marketing collateral and merchandising.
• Designs product as needed.
• Operates various graphic design programs.
• Confers with marketing team regarding project specifications and creative direction.
• Writes bid specifications for jobs assigned to outside vendors coordinates production of material with outside vendors by monitoring jobs in progress, resolving technical problems, proofing materials and ensuring deadlines are met.
• Manages studio and action photography of athletes and product when necessary.
• Creates and designs technical drawings and illustrations.
• Designs and constructs visual displays, POP and exhibits, determines materials and equipment best suited for the job.
• Maintains department files of completed assignments, maintains accurate logs of work in progress such as time devoted to projects and materials used.
• Reformats and resized various advertising materials and collateral to meet customer specifications.


Qualifications



• Associates degree in Graphic Design or related field and two years experience in graphic design or four years experience in graphic design or and equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education.
• Must be expert in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop and Indesign.
• Ability to contribute individually and lead, manage or participate in cross functional teams.
• Must have excellent design skills, verbal communication skills, and ability to create great working relationships within all levels of the company.
