Position: Cutter
Pay: hourly and by piece

What we do:
JC Hawaii is a surfboard manufacturer that is based out of Hawaii. There is a shop in Hawaii and one in California. JC Hawaii has been around for about 10 years and was started by John Carper. John is a world famous shaper and travels the world shaping surfboards.
Job Description:
Because of the quantity of boards that JC Hawaii produces it is impossible to hand shape all the boards. We have a CNC machine that is used to cut the boards out of the blanks. This makes it possible for the shaper to shape a board in 15 to 20 minutes. What the cutter will be doing is taking the orders as they come in (10 to 15 a day) and cutting them on the CNC. This means picking the correct blank, prepping the file, cutting the board, and then checking it for quality. Other responsibilities include letting the production manager know about problems with blanks, when more blanks need to be order, care and up keep of CNC machine and other problems that may occur during the day.
Thank you for taking interest we hope to hear from you soon
