FUEL TV Launches "Built to Shred" Online Skate Game
Network redesigns website, adds sports-specific sections and editorial team.

FUEL TV, the 24/7 action sports lifestyle network, has recently made several new additions to its website, including an exciting new online video game around the popular “Built To Shred” show (http://www.fuel.tv/builttoshredgame), redesigning the site navigation, and adding to its content team.

“We’re excited about all the changes to FUEL TV’s website,” says Gene Pao, FUEL TV VP, New Media and International Distribution. “The ‘Built To Shred’ game will offer hours of fun for not just skate fans, but for anyone who enjoys a good video game. And the redesigned website caters more specifically to each sport and enables fans to get content about their favorite sports more quickly.”

“FUEL.TV’s new sport hubs are absolutely crammed with original video clips, full HD episodes, breaking news, webcasts, photos, and feature stories,” says Carleton Curtis, FUEL TV’s Senior Web Producer. “Plus, we’ve got the most legit editors in action sports overseeing each section, so there’s no better destination online for your skateboarding, snowboarding, surfing, moto, wake and BMX needs.”

The new Built To Shred video game is based on the popular FUEL TV build-and-ride show of the same name. Users will be able to use host Jeff King to build shreddable obstacles and score points when they skate past them, all while competing for exclusive prizes and the coveted top-score.

Each week, FUEL TV will award the Top 10 scorers on the “Built To Shred” leader board with prizes including skate decks, T-shirts, and other things. At the end of each week, the leader board will be refreshed so fans will have more time to work on their skills and win!

In addition to the new “Built To Shred” game, fans coming to www.fuel.tv will notice that the website now features six sections corresponding to the sports the network covers. The site also offers a special section called “The Music Room,” where users can find more than 250 musical performances from FUEL TV’s “The Daily Habit,” as well as music news, updates, and interactive polls to viewers on a daily basis.

An all-star editorial team now provides extensive event and news coverage on FUEL TV’s website. Adam Sullivan will take on the skateboarding section. Sullivan is the former editor-in-chief of Skateboarder Magazine, senior skate editor at Transworld Business, and programs manager at the Tony Hawk Foundation. For snowboarding, Robbie Sell has joined the team. He was a pro snowboarder for Santa Cruz, blogger for ActiveMailOrder.com, and he continues his career as a professional photographer.

In surfing, Paulo Dias will lead the charge with his experience as the former online editor of WetSand.com. Erik Jernberg heads up wakeboarding with his experience as the founder of WakeboardReport.com and The2001.com, and of Wakeboarder.com. Colin Bane will take on moto. He was a freelance writer and photographer for Alli Sports, Lat34.com, Vans, and even FUEL TV, to name a few. Last but not least is Andrew Brady, who has worked as a web designer for Vinyl BMX, is a video production maestro, and is a professional photographer.
