Originally born in Springfield Missouri In 1982, I grew up in a small midwestern town called West Plains. My father lost his job and my family was forced to relocate. After several moves, I reside in San Diego with my partner and our six year old daughter. 

As a child I excelled in art, I have been drawing since I was very young, and have art hanging in the halls of my high school, where I also studied media and videography. I have been an avid skateboarder my entire life. Together with my friends, I raised money through grassroots politics and designed and built what was, at the time, the second concrete skatepark in the state. All was accomplished before the age of twenty-one.

I spent my twenties devoted to punk rock and skateboarding, eventually touring music and owning my own skateboard shop. During this time I developed interest in branding and graphic design due to the fact I had so much fun doing it for my own projects.  

I enrolled in the design program in 2011 at City College and studied on and off for several years. In 2015, my daughter was born and I was forced to quit and take a job bartending. I returned in 2018 to finish the program. Currently am a Freelance Designer and  I help run a surf and skateshop called Pastel Surf in South Park, San Diego
