Husband, Father and Credit Professional. Yes, while this is about my career history and experience, family is the primary reason why I work, to take care of the ones that matter most. My career has spanned the past 20 years, experiencing market ups and downs and helping financial institutions to navigate these challenges. 

While ensuring quality credit has been my foundational focus, I have also had the opportunity to spend 7+ years originating quality loans and developing lasting banking relationships. Credit always has nuance and always will because each relationship is unique just like each of us. I strive to be efficient, thorough, and to fairly maximize profitability while minimizing risks. 

I have worked with the small “mom and pop” type family businesses to the large publicly traded corporations and government entities with experience in commercial real estate, working capital lines of credit (ABL), equipment finance and high net worth personal loans.

I love training and mentoring junior credit staff and building teams that strengthen the organizational structure and credit culture.

Associate Director of Underwriting 

•	Underwrote complex loan requests across various sectors (CRE, Multi-Family, Equipment, ABL).
•	Collaborated on the development and implementation of automated decisioning software for streamlined loan approvals.
•	Trained and mentored junior underwriters, fostering a strong team environment.

Vice President - Senior Commercial Loan Underwriter

•	Loan origination and business development both from existing portfolio and new to bank.
•	Maintained portfolio of approximately $90 million.
•	Loan structuring on various types of credit ranging from commercial real estate, working capital lines of credit, equipment loans, high net worth personal loans and letters of credit.
•	Performed loan presentation and recommendation to executive loan committee.
•	Cradle to grave portfolio maintenance and relationship management including problem loan workout.

Vice President - Commercial Loan Officer II

•	Completed credit approval documents with full underwrite and analysis of business and personal financial condition.
•	Designed and implemented automation used to reduce underwriting time and to improve credit quality.
•	Worked with multiple departments to standardize processes and reporting, applying effective communication strategies to ensure team efforts are in unison.
•	Provided support to loan officers in loan structuring, credit risk rating, and loan pricing and adherence to regulatory requirements.
•	Experience responding to regulator exam questions (OCC, FDIC).
