I grew up in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains in the city of Asheville, North Carolina. Raised with a respect and fervor for the great outdoors, which as a result, have spent a large portion of my life exploring outside. I need the mountains, trees, oceans, and snow. These are the things that inspire me, necessary ingredients in my creative process and my life overall.

Launched in late 2017, my latest creative endeavor, Camp Mug Supply Co. falls somewhere at the intersection of passion project and startup business endeavor. The brand is focused around simple hand-painted mugs designed to inspire adventures. I believe simple products still have a profound place in our lives and even more so as our world becomes more digitally dependent. Currently, I live and working in Portland, Oregon as the lead graphic designer at Under Armour supporting all footwear categories. With a background in product design focused graphics, my role in this position challenges me managing deliverables for multiple teams, staying relevant with trends, understanding evolving production techniques, and a sound understanding of what it takes to create the best product while considering financial constraints, designing for margin efficiency.

I worked directly with a Senior Design Manager creating graphics for all outdoor end-use categories at Under Armour. This includes Hunting, Fishing, Freedom (military support & tactical), and Outdoor Performance (trail running, hiking, skiing, snowboarding, and watersports). With a focus on designing t-shirts graphics, these regularly influence other areas of the business and I collaborate with various teams on a daily basis to ensure brand consistency. 

I have worked on numerous seasonal collections in the Outdoor category and have led and helped dictate concept development, design direction, and execution of graphics contributing in the range of $10-20 million worth of department growth. I have an acute sense of designing for margin efficiency and understand business implications from a creative perspective.

Apparel Graphic Designer - Outdoor

Worked with Senior Designer to create seasonal prints and repeat patterns for men’s and women’s end- uses within all categories (training, running, basketball, baseball, golf, and outdoor). I was responsible for following new creative direction and coming up with unique designs for the following seasons: SS15, FW15, SS16, FW16, SS18, and FW18. Led design and development of stripes and jacquards for all golf polos, including exclusive designs for Jordan Speith’s Masters win. Developed conceptual print presentations to upper level management to tell a cohesive brand story. Onboarded two new hires and managed two interns. Worked directly with the color team to maintain trend relevancy and stay in sync with designs “Go-to-Market” color strategies. Traveled to Thailand, Taiwan, and Japan to learn the manufacturing process and work with factories and mills to improve design efficiencies.

Assistant Graphic Designer - Print & Repeat Pattern

I have been freelancing as a graphic designer since early on in my college career. I have worked with numerous clients over the years on projects ranging from environmental design, wayfinding systems, websites, and branding. From helping brands evolve, redesigning logos, and building out brand guidelines to designing terrain park graphics for on-snow features, the scope of work I have designed for is very broad and diverse. I have learned to juggle multiple jobs at once while managing and maintaining a business at the same time. I have work for over 20 clients in the last 8 years and have been doing exclusive design work for 3 clients over the past 5 years.
