Design Director, Brand & E-commerce Incubator: Lead and manage design, product development and production of 7 wholesale brands. Design Director

Lead and manage design, product development & production process for missy, plus and juniors activewear private label from initial design concept through to bulk production. Partner with product, overseas merchandising, marketing and buying teams to drive business growth. ($100MM) 

•	Responsible for conceptualizing, designing, sourcing, producing, selling, and marketing private label brands. 
•	Work closely with Vice President of Product, Buyer and DMM in setting a seasonal strategy for the brand identifying key opportunities to grow the business based on fast reaction to selling, white space opportunities, key trends to register, brand appropriate collaborations and extensions of sizes. 
•	Lead market appointments presenting design strategy in accordance to assortment plans. Collaborated with buyers in editing and merchandising product lines to fit into the program and style plans. 
•	Direct and manage pre market OTB building style level assortments, class penetrations and climate specific needs. 
•	Analyze weekly sales data determining trends and proactively reacting to the business. 
•	Launched plus size activewear business. Expanded from 75 doors in spring 2015 to all 500 doors for fall 2017. 
•	Facilitate in store and .COM execution guides along with collateral and package design partnering with visual team to maximize product presentation.
•	Manage approvals and communication with overseas factories on a daily basis. 
•	Lead training for the design team on 3D virtual sampling software Clo3D.  Manage cross-functional communication with overseas partners/vendors on virtual sampling revisions and comments on a seasonal basis. 
•	Manage, inspire and actively coach 2 design assistants, 1 junior designer, 1 CAD designer by creating development plans (SMART goals) and providing feedback.
•	Co-manage color and tech teams (2 colorist/ 2 tech designers) serving as a liaison across production and design.

Senior Apparel Designer

Drove profitable and relevant product assortments in alignment with corporate strategy. Key partner with cross-functional teams, leading strategic direction, and driving creative vision for the design team. 

•	Covering for Design Director’s while on maternity (6 months).
•	Covered for VP of design during company’s restructuring (3 months).
•	Managed T&A Product development calendar, establishing clear workflow timelines and deadlines for the team.
•	Developed seasonal color flows and overall trend direction.
•	Coached and managed the entire design team, fostered an environment of collaboration and growth with focus on high engagement and talent growth.

Design Director (Interim Assignment)

Lead design development for Women’s High Performance Athletic Private Label. Exceeded design expectations and was pivotal in establishing trust during partnership negotiations. 

•	Developed and executed branding apparel principles to create brand awareness in partnership with top Global Athletes. 
•	Owned design and product development of 6 Women’s categories (Basic, Core, Seamless, Run, Training, Yoga and Studio to Street).
•	Strategically partnered with private brands upper management and marketing team providing guidance for design/branding content creation.

Freelance Senior Apparel Designer

Managed and drove design development for 4 categories in partnership with Design Director (Performance, Knit tops/Bottoms, Athleisure and Swim). Effectively collaborated with product development, overseas offices, tech design and sourcing teams to support day to day business operations.  Key partner in re-launch of Bra business nationwide.  ($280M)

•	Managed and coached (2) assistants’ designers. 
•	Conducted and managed all design hand off to tech and product development. 
•	Collaborated with tech in revising styles to achieve costing that satisfied the customer demand, achieved sales, turn and margin plan.



Associate Designer

Owned design development and successfully launched first apparel business in partnership with Licensor.  Developed and executed merchandise/ branding and marketing strategies to deliver a cohesive assortment in alignment with Licensors’ 5/10 year old growth plan. Lead all aspects of design, sourcing, tech design and production with minimal supervision and proficiency.

•	Designed an elevated Business Leisure Apparel Capsule merging RTW trends with technical attributes to consolidate brand 5-year vision and strategy platform.
•	Designed a streamlined bridge collection “LF” by Life Fitness for retail, wholesale, and e-commerce carried to a broader line of consumers and multiple distribution channels such as Sports Authority, Dicks Sporting Goods, and Academy.

Head Apparel Designer

Owned all aspects of design and product development from concept to bulk production. Key player in growing apparel E-commerce business from 8M to 125M in less than 5 years. Delivered innovative assortment architecture strategy to widen the target demographic and gain market share. 
•	Developed and executed merchandise strategies to deliver sales and margin goals (±75%) through focused assortments, product development and inventory management
•	Determined KPI metrics for new product launches to set expectations based on historical data and comparable selling categories.
•	Innovated best practices for corporate initiatives by creating tools and resources to be used by the total department.
•	Designed capsule for first Harrods Retail Collection; created fashion forward silhouettes for European market.
•	Grew team from 3 single members to team of 7. Responsible for recruitment, onboarding and fostering growth.  
•	Originally hired as a Junior Designer; earned promotion to Senior Designer in less than 12 months.

Aided Creative director all aspects of design. Provided production assistance and QC of all PP/TOP samples. 
•	Assisted as a backstage coordinator for Miami Swim Week 2010.
