Senior Designer, Men's Performance Apparel

- Backfill for the role of SVP Design during the PEARL iZUMi acquisition, successfully transitioning the brand into the United Sports Brands portfolio of brands
- Creative direction, line planning and design for Nathan Sports running line and PEARL iZUMi cycling line
- Executed seasonal color palette, prints and graphics
- Traveled to trade shows to meet with vendors for sourcing and development of new fabrics and trims

Senior Designer/Acting Design Director, Outdoor Apparel

- Design and product development for a sustainable apparel brand with product designed to move from mountain to street
- Designed hero products for the brand, including several successful Kickstarter campaigns
- Oversaw fit and led communication with outside vendors including contracting pattern makers and factories
- Sourced and designed into technical and sustainable performance fabrics

Design and Development Consultant, Men's Technical Apparel

- Design, creative direction and technical design for urban performance and cycling apparel
- Introduced women’s apparel to the brand, initiating all designs for the initial women's line
- Envisioned and designed merino offering evolving the merino assortment from a single piece to an entire category
- Created tech packs with detailed specs, technical sketches and grading in Illustrator and Excel for submission to factories
- Responsible for overall garment fit, including hand revisions to pattern print outs provided by factory

Design and Development Consultant, Men's and Women's Technical Apparel

- Design and creative direction for all men’s collections: travel, outdoor, office wear and performance lifestyle
- Introduced the company to the outdoor industry through the creative direction of the outdoor line
- Envisioned and brought to market the men’s version of the women’s best selling dress pant yoga pant
- Collaborated with a team of developers and merchants to refine men’s product and improve margins
- Hired, trained, supervised and mentored junior designers and interns

Senior Menswear Designer

- Design, product line management and production for men’s/women’s outerwear, knits and woven tops and bottoms
- Led and mentored a cross functional design, product development and production team of ten people
- Helped grow this e-commerce start-up from the owner's spare bedroom to $5M annual revenue
- Owned development calendar and sample tracking
- Managed relationships with manufacturers, including marker/grader, cutting room and sew shop
- Improved costing and planning strategy for inventory and fabric and trim buying
- Oversaw quality control, checking construction and measurements of finished garments

- Designed and created initial prototypes for an apparel line targeting female cyclists
