Versatile craftsman skilled in precision design, engineering, and fabrication of hard and soft goods. Tenured at LUCASFILMS Industrial Light + Magic [ILM] as prototype model maker, machinist / mechanical designer. Transitioned to a position at UC BERKELEY in the COLLEGE of ENGINEERING to work as Development Technician supporting process engineers and scientists in the semi-conductor field. Contributed many design + fabrication solutions to customize the infrastructure of the new MARVELL NANOLAB. Demonstrated ability to identify, prevent, and solve production problems. Has worked with broad range of creative / technical personnel on teams and in project management capacities. 
Experienced in architectural, industrial design, product development, motion picture special FX, fashion, and engineering fields. Concurrent to career has worked as private consultant offering services in the design, creation, and process engineering of LUXURY LEATHER HANDBAGS AND CASES. Sample maker, available to manage the development and making of product prototypes / samples.

HANDBAG DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT - Custom MAKER of luxury leather handbags and cases who, at age 20 landed first professional job at Pegasus Unique Leather Creations in Sausalito, California. Occupied a bench in the custom workshop where finely crafted goods were created to stock the store. Took custom orders for garments, handbags, belts, sandals etc..Trained on the industrial sewing machine, learned how to draft patterns and deal with clients. Tutored by resident craftspeople to a high level of expertise. Engaged in a lifelong study of the craft since then accepting commissions from clients most of whom include design professionals and celebrities. Recently interviewed and considered for Product Developer / Process Engineering position at Louis Vuitton Manufacturing USA. Will work as consultant or full time to develop and produce immaculate prototypes / samples to take to production.

Artisan

UC Berkeley College of Engineering EECS, (Electrical Engineering and Computer Science), the cutting-edge academic / industrial research and development institution, home to scientists and engineers working in the semi-conductor arena. Stationed in the Cory Hall Machine Shop, worked as a machinist and Development Technician building R + D apparatus. Available to resident staff and students working on their PHD's as well as support for the new MARVELL NANOLAB. Work performed in machine shop and complex lab environs. Scale and scope of projects very broad.

Development Technician V

The visual effects film production company renowned for images and characters associated with "STAR WARS", and the dynamic use of scale model miniatures. Employed as a first call prototype model maker in both the ILM Model and Creature shops. Established reputation as a reliable, top flight model builder and animatronic designer / machinist. Worked with production designers and art department staff to develop and build fantastic spaceships, futuristic vehicles, animatronic creatures, and architectural models etc., for motion picture special effects. Managed productions requiring collaborative process engineering with teams of model-makers, sculptors, mold-shop and pyrotechnic / stage personnel. Challenging projects required much imagination, technical innovation, and versatility. Delivered highly cosmetic finished product within strict time and budgetary parameters. Personal contributions to 52 films and commercials.

Senior Model maker / Machinist / Mechanical Designer

Animatronic design and machining, molding and casting, model making, and prosthetic makeup effects for films "ENEMY MINE", "THE FLY II".
