My name is Alex Barnes, and I am a graphic designer, photographer, illustrator, and fine artist. I graduated from Flagler College in the Spring of 2017 with majors in Graphic Design and Fine art, and a minor in Anthropology. I consider myself an intellectual person and I enjoy learning and solving problems. I have always been a searcher. Starting at a young age, I would explore the marsh wetlands along the river near my house. Much to my mom's dismay, I collected anything and everything I found. Starting with styrofoam buoy markers, then to action figures, fishing lures, antiques, cameras, and everything in between. Each thing had unique nuances that piqued my interest. There were rarely, if ever, two of the same. The search in finding the things and learning about them was more important than owning them. Today, I still utilize that curiosity in my practices. Graphic Design presents special challenges and requires a type of searching of solutions that are never easy to find. Fine art and photography, in their own ways, also present unique challenges. The answers are never clear, but, rather, lead to the next question.
