Alex Lind: Rocky Mountain Regional Sales Representative in Denver, CO

As regional sales representative for the Rocky Mountain region, I am in charge of working with an array of accounts, including sporting goods, walking specialty, running specialty, and tennis stores. Responsibilities include maintaining and growing the ASICS brand in accounts, selling in the seasonal line, supporting co-branded events, as well as being the face of the brand for these accounts. Day-to-day tasks include order entry, creating marketing and sales initiatives, and communicating with accounts in a professional and time-sensitive manner.

As assistant product line manager for footwear I oversaw product, from concept to product. Responsibilities included concept briefing, design direction, creating strategic color and material stories at the retail level, working hand-in-hand with development and design teams, and communicating with regional merchandising and sales teams on a global level. Other responsibilities included researching current and upcoming global consumer trends through data analysis and consumer findings, as well as providing candid discussions with internal global and regional team members and retailers. Other responsibilities included management of cost engineering, sample ordering, wear-testing, and product presentations to internal and external teams.

As a member of the global footwear team I worked alongside a diverse group of designers, developers, product line managers, merchandisers and members of the sales team to create relevant and cost-effective products both regionally and globally. With a focus on understanding the running market globally, responsibilities also included building consumer profiles to better understand their needs, wants and purchasing habits. Additionally, I provided solutions to ensure that the most effective product went to market based on market trends. Other responsibilities included managing sample orders, competitive product research and creating product briefs as a platform for future footwear. ASICS America

Responsibilities included scheduling and coordinating events throughout the year. Working with vendors, race organizers, run clubs and training groups to create sales-driven in-store events to support sell-through and create a unique and fun customer experience. Set up mobile sales units for events up to 25,000 participants. Assisted race organizers with race day logistics including course and expo set up. As men's apparel buyer, analyzed sell-through of product, as well as explored emerging trends and brands. Provided in-depth item and trend feedback to vendors to assist in product development. Additionally, worked with brands on futures, at-once, and special orders, as well as order revisions.

Part of the management team at the flagship location. Responsibilities included gait analysis, managing and scheduling of staff, working and managing events both in store and at outside venues, communicating with customers and vendors, contributing to buying and stocking.
