H&H Flatheads
Freelance Graphic Designer / Illustrator | 02/2015 - 02/2019
H & H Flatheads is a small business that manufactures vintage speed equipment for early Ford V8 flatheads and V12 flathead engines. Mike has been a long term client for over 5 years. Most of the projects consist of illustrations for his apparel graphics as well as printed media. Recently I collaborated with Christian Mejia to completely redesign the H & H Flathead website. For the website project I took the creative director role and created all visual assets.
Derale Performance / US Motor Works LLC
Creative Director | 01/2015 - 01/2019
Derale has been another long term client that began on a project bases. Duties included revamping the brand identity with both visuals and marketing. After the company was sold to US Motor Works LLC in 2016/17 the position grew enormously. What started with one brand quickly turned into rebranding multiple brands which included new websites, redesigned packaging, printed media, advertisement campaigns, catalogs and more.
I worked closely with different departments throughout the company to ensure the creativity made the highest impact for our consumers and B2B. This role by far has given me the greatest experiences beyond creative director. I learned to work with multiple levels of management, and vendors directly and indirectly related to the creative department.
Firestone Walker / 805 Beers
Freelance Illustrator | 01/2015 - 01/2019
I was contracted with 805 Beers from 2015-2019 to create custom illustrations and typography for their merchandise line. The objective was to reach their core audience in the vintage automotive/motorcycle culture. Over the period years I created multiple illustrations for their men's and women's apparel. Illustrations were created based on inspiration boards from the creative director Troy Powell. All of the illustrations were hand drawn and inked.
This project really allowed me to tap into my creative zone and was awesome because there was very very little use of digital mediums.
