Growing up working in surf retail taught me the basis for sales and the retail process. My professional education taught me how to handle stressful and complicated issues in the business process. After finishing college I worked for a surf company opening stores in Los Angeles. After a move to expand my experience I helped develop a swimwear brand using marketing, web design, photography and event planning in Florida. While still doing independent marketing, I now operate a boutique from the ground up. I am the general manager for our multiple locations and e-commerce, our mens buyer and merchandiser, as well as social media coordinator and photographer. I am looking for a new challenge with opportunity for growth. I hope to use this well rounded current position to play a important creative roll in a growing company.

Responsible for purchasing, return authorizations, merchandising, inventory development and all relative operations. Also responsible for web development, photography, social media coordination, event planning, shipping operations and marketing. This opportunity showed me the ins and ours of operating an entire business and gave me the tools needed to develop an integrated company of in-store and web sales.

Operations Management/Web Development/Photography

Responsible for handling customer service phone line as well as web address and various third-party retail accounts. Also managed multi-location distribution, third party drop-ship transactions, store transfers for 16 locations, and special orders for the entire company. Responsible for suggestive alternatives in situations where a customer’s web order is out of stock. This opportunity gave me a thorough understanding of the distribution chain and the back end of retail operations overall.

Customer Service/Web Department Distribution

As retail sales associate for Shop 603 I catered to high end clients, creating a positive shopping experience. This required suggestive sales strategies, clothing fitting, and building first name basis relationships. I was also responsible for processing of new inventory daily, opening and closing operations, daily upkeep of location, and helping organize promotional events.

Assistant Manager

Responsible for opening retail locations for La Jolla Group Inc. In this process I was responsible to help hire all employees, create policies and procedures specified to the location of each store, merchandise each location and host grand opening events. As a leader I was responsible for training and pushing employees to maximize sales and continue to grow as individuals. I was also responsible for processing new shipment, merchandising new inventory, organizing spreadsheets to compare sales, and organizing promotional events to maximize sales.

Retail Manager

I worked as a sales associate at Sun Diego as well as helped merchandise, stock new product, and process special orders. This shop was extremely busy and prepared me to deal with procedures in stressful/busy situations in the workplace. As sales associates, we were also responsible to meet sales quotas daily using various sales tactics.

Sales Associate

I was an employee at Maui Nix beginning at age 15. I started as a sales associate and worked my way up to retail manager. I was responsible for store transfers, online purchase transfers, return to vendor orders, shipments, in-store markdowns, employee training, promotion development, and store merchandising.
