I serve as the key contact and daily liaison between design, overseas and domestic factories to ensure quality and T&A calendar adherence for the private label, off price, SMU, and branded swim business at PEI. I serve as product developer for the following private label brands: Cynthia Rowley, WHBM, JLO, Dana Buchman, Sonoma, ANA, Original Penguin, Jantzen, Perry Ellis, Laundry, Jag, Target, St. John’s Bay, Costco, Sam’s, Ross, Loehmann’s TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Burlington, Bealls, Steinmart, etc. I handle the sourcing and product development from start to finish working daily with multiple domestic and overseas vendors on quality of goods, ensure quality compliance, fit samples, and arrange for sales samples and do pre-production approval/comments for fit and construction from first sample through mass production to maintain consistent quality. I work daily with designers to ensure their concepts are translated and executed correctly to vendors. I develop and manage relationships with manufacturers worldwide, to partner up with our company. I manage importing of samples internationally and negotiate pricing, product details, and quality compliance on a daily basis. I brought skype to the company now adopted worldwide thus improving communication with overseas. I implemented a successful tracking system used by the swimwear team, I also started a trim and component chart for design and technical design to refer to when filling out tech packs/BOMs to send to overseas. Merchandiser- My supervisor has enlisted my help with merchandising all the brands. I aid in creating seasonal merchandising plans for branded and private label lines, working with sourcing on garment pricing, creating new packaging concepts with the graphics team, and identifying product opportunities. Creating line assortments, assigning style numbers for new season, conducting competitive analysis, merchandising line from beginning to end for lines such as WHBM, JLO, Dana Buchman, Sonoma, ANA, Original Penguin, Jantzen, Perry Ellis, Laundry, Jag, Target, St. John’s Bay, Costco, Sam’s, Ross, Loehmann’s TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Burlington, Bealls, Steinmart, etc.
