Being extremely motivated by the business of fashion and styling, I am skilled in designing and trend forecasting for apparel as well as accessories and home decor. I have excellent expertise in the areas of research, analysis, and brand awareness. I’m a reliable and responsible person whom great trust can be placed in. I show great determination in my work, and I complete projects to the highest of standards within tight deadlines. I take the initiative, work diligently, learn quickly, and take great pride in a job well done. My participation in taking a Leadership Effectiveness Workshop has made me an effective communicator who excels in a team dynamic.

Creative to my core and passionately interested in the world around me, I have taken my keen eye and attention to detail and channeled it toward design, and creating beautiful concepts that reflect not only the customer’s taste but their interest and passions as a person. I received my Associates Degree in product development from one of the top fashion institutes in the country, The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM) which equipped me to successfully take a collection from concept to consumer.

-Established a streamlined design and development process that contributed to an overall company expense savings of 4K the first year after implementation.
-Created a new department radically improving the company's future-oriented trajectory towards the customer, and establish new production lines from the bottom up.
-Managed a team of freelance print designers to ensure customer driven results in print aesthetic appeal and overall technique results.

Women's Apparel Designer

-Enabled cost effective design solutions that facilitated a savings of $.15 to $3.00 on average per unit.
-Facilitated the quick and efficient redesign of the Baby Boy collection within tight time constraints. 
-Stepped in and spearheaded the proofing and correcting of the entire Baby Boy line after the sudden departure of the lead designer, which led to effective design changes and packaging error identification. 
-Awarded responsibility of the cross-department garment dye collection after taking the initiative to make all updates at the post alignment meeting.
-Designed 30% to 70% of the weekly top ten styles by APS.  
-Ensured strict garment adherence to design intent and corporate standards.
-Led and participated in departmental and cross-functional meetings designed to improve product speed to market. 

Design Assistant

-Held responsibility for coordinating and monitoring the progress of garment samples through manufacturing to completion.
-Initiated a mass overhaul of the textile sample organization and created a new system to ensure that samples were not misplaced, saving the company in re--sampling cost by thousands of dollars annually.  
-Collaborated with key development team members to ensure seamless interaction to deliver a product line that is designed, developed and manufactured to meet product requirements, market needs, margin goals, and calendar timelines.
-Designed and implemented a new samples intake process to record when all samples were received which improved efficiency tremendously.
-Took the initiative to offer more support to the design team through presenting concept boards, helping with spec changes, and assisting in mock store presentations.

Product Development Coordinator

-Developed a strong point of view built on trend research and design aesthetic to design compelling and fresh concepts and ideas.
-Minimized the use of freelance designers to save the company $6k in annual expenses.
-Designed spirited team uniforms to meet precise specifications within league regulations through building rapport with coaches and team managers. 
-Utilized design skills to create original, innovative footwear designs that appropriately reflect the company’s design objectives.
-Perfected the overall fit and element of comfort of all apparel products.
