For nearly 20 years, Amanda has transformed organizations, ideas and brands into successful, eye-catching and award-winning traditional and digital experiences. She sees every communication challenge as an opportunity to connect with audiences, make an impact with design and achieve results.

She has worked with Y Combinator start-ups out of Silicon Valley, as well as Fortune 100 companies, including Intel, Microsoft, Dominion, Chase, AT&T, HTC, Discovery Channel, TLC, Animal Planet, Travel Channel and more. Amanda also ran her own company for three years, BRAND IT OUT, where she developed and facilitated branding processes with clients. She remains active in the industry community as a member of AAF DC and AIGA's DC chapter, participating in events and speaking on panels about design, women's initiatives and creative executive leadership.

• Leads the vision and design of the loyalty user experience from concept through execution— driving strategy, digital channel and product design, and compelling content strategy, while influencing technology and product to bring the experience to life for over 137 million users
• Part of the User Centered Design leadership team for Global Digital, driving internal initiatives for teams and helping to improve efficiencies in existing processes across all teams
• Manages a team of UX designers, external vendors, contractors, freelance designers and design agencies

• Consulted with a variety of clients from start-ups to large corporations and agencies
• Provided strategy-led approaches for clients with branding, social and digital/UX capabilities, along with creative service offerings like brand strategy development, visual identity development and social media strategy

Design and Brand Strategy Consultant

• Reported directly to the CCO and was responsible for managing a team of creative directors and their day-to-day workflow, which included collaborating with a distributed network of designers to create and maintain quality work
• Worked to improve overall strategies and implementation of process improvement plans for the full agency team
• Supported Plato’s vision to blend the best of human creativity with the power of Machine Learning through process improvement and feedback on initial beta tests of software product
• Provided creative strategy and design solutions to many inspiring YC start-ups out of Silicon Valley

Lead Creative Director

• Hired to lead, grow and build a new in-house creative capability, reported directly to CEO
• Member of the Executive Leadership Team
• Led the new re-brand effort both internally and externally, including brand strategy and identity development across platforms
• Led creative strategy for all new business
• Presented creative strategy, concepts and advocated for design processes to clients and prospective clients
• Was responsible for leading and managing all creative efforts while coordinating with Account Staff, Content, Interactive and Project Management team members

Creative Director

• Taught 400-level Branding & Design Systems and 200-level Visual Communications course

Adjunct Instructor

• Owned and operated a brand consulting firm and creative studio that specialized in defining companies’ reputations through a branding process that included facilitated conversations, exercises, validation research, measurement and visual identity development

Owner and Brand Expert

• Worked closely with a tight-knit team of creatives to deliver innovative concepts and strategies for advertising campaigns in all media including broadcast, print and web. Was responsible for managing art directors and designers on a daily basis while reporting to DC office creative director.

Associate Creative Director

• Worked with the design/production management teams in Discovery Creative Resources to meet all design needs for various networks including press kits, ads, promotional material and title treatments, as well as concept development for special features. Mostly focused on TLC, Animal Planet and Travel Channel networks.

Senior Graphic Designer

• Assisted art director and team with product/concept development for advertising layouts, packaging and presentation materials for personal care product lines, managed projects distributed to various vendors and organized in-house photo shoots
